Description:POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for implementing best practices and developing maintenance processes across the organization. The key fundamentals of this role include formulating and implementing maintenance strategies, coaching and mentoring maintenance personnel, managing resources, and ensuring compliance federal, state, local regulations.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES

  • Manage all day-to-day maintenance operations of Central Maintenance Facility to include training of maintenance personnel
  • Build effective relationships with upper management, logistical support, and yard managers
  • Ensure successful execution of maintenance standards, in compliance with state, federal, local, and established company policies and procedures
  • Implement and supervise preventive maintenance programs to increase productivity and reduce unplanned equipment downtime
  • Improve and supervise maintenance management systems, processes, and best practices
  • Analyze performance, coach, and supervise maintenance team members
  • Maintain standards of cleanliness and properly dispose of hazardous waste in accordance with SWPPP
  • Maintain CMMS program daily
  • Attend daily meetings and trainings when appropriate

Requirements:KEY COMPETENCIES

  • Proven work experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of maintenance management best practices
  • Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Ability to inspire, influence, and coach teams to success
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in difficult and stressful situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years of leadership or management experience
  • 5 years of commercial truck or heavy equipment maintenance experience, preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull a minimum of 50 pounds
  • Frequently climb up and down ladders; crouch and bend at the knee; stoop or bend at the waist; reach arms overhead; and twist and turn at the neck and trunk
  • Continually handle and grasp levers and dials; continuous leg and foot motion when using pedals
  • Work environment involves frequent and/or regular exposure to natural and unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises
  • Ability to spend prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
