We are seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform skilled labor in the distribution, pipe fitting, welding, mechanical machine repair, and building maintenance. You will also assist in training other maintenance team members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform work in a physically safe and environmentally sound manner
- Maintain a high-quality work standard
- Act as a member of the spill response team
Education/Skills
- High school diploma or GED is required
- A minimum of 2.5 years of maintenance work experience is preferred
- Ability to perform work in electrical maintenance and power distribution, pipe fitting, welding, mechanical machine repair and building maintenance
- Skilled in working from blueprints, schematics, and sketches
- Capable of heavy physical labor
- Must be able to wear a respirator
Training
- All new employees will spend the first six months in training to learn about our equipment and safety procedures
- After the training period, you will complete a test to ensure you are ready to move to an apprentice role
- You will then spend approximately two years training to be a B mechanic
Note: All candidates will be required to complete a mechanical comprehension test and receive a passing grade before moving forward in the recruiting process.
Work Environment
You will be exposed to cold or hot temperature variations, dusty surroundings, and high noise level equipment and machinery and live electrical circuits. You will be working in confined spaces such as inside tanks and blenders, as well as working at various heights.
