Title: Refuse Laborer
Pay Range: H-2

Report To: Refuse Collection Operator
Job Summary:
Under general direction of the Refuse Collection Operator, perform manual work tasks primarily involving garbage collection.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up garbage on a pre-determined schedule for POA buildings and property owner sites.
- Pick up yard waste on property owner sites.
- Assist with Maintenance Department duties.
- Perform manual maintenance tasks using handheld equipment and tools such as string trimmers, shovels, rakes, etc.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to perform physical work consisting of frequent lifting or moving moderately heavy material.
- Ability to communicate in a cordial manner with property owners.
- Requires basic knowledge of the equipment, tools, and materials used in grounds maintenance.
- Ability to use tact and courtesy in dealing with customers and promote customer service.
Credentials and Experience:
- Some experience in heavy manual labor, or any combination of training and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
Job Type: Full-time
