Project Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

DEPARTMENT: Tribal Maintenance

JOB LOCATION: Pueblo of Pojoaque Tribal Works

REPORTS TO: Director of Tribal Works

TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE (DAYS/HRS PER WEEK): TBD

JOB PURPOSE: Performs responsible work to carry out the Pueblo of Pojoaque policies and procedures relating to a wide variety of programs and activities as directed by the Director of Tribal Works. This position supports the Director in gathering equipment, resources, and information to implement upcoming projects in the Tribal Transportation and Tribal Maintenance programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage project-related papers and computer software by ensuring all necessary materials are current, properly filed and stored.
  • Participate in shareholder and project meetings and propose improvements if necessary.
  • Plan and manage Team goals, project schedules, project quotes and ensure all deadlines for certain projects are met.
  • Direct project correspondence by preparing and reviewing project proposals, memos and meeting minutes and emails.
  • Communicate with Tribal Members and customers to identify and define projects requirements scope and objectives and scheduling.
  • Adhere to budget by monitoring expenses and implementing cost saving measures.
  • Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Brings problems to the attention of the Director of Tribal Works.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints, or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
