AVAILABLE SHIFTS:

  • Wednesday to Friday 10:00am - 7:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday and Tuesday OFF

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repair of Center facility, grounds and systems.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school preferred. Minimum 5 years experience in building maintenance required with knowledge of local building codes, carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems, boilers and other building systems. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
  • Performs repair and preventive maintenance to the facility, grounds and systems.
  • Inspects the work of other maintenance personnel.
  • Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
  • Researches and recommends purchase of replacement equipment as needed.
  • May be asked to oversee the training activities of students assigned to the maintenance area.
  • May be asked to oversee the activities and quality of performance of outside contractors performing repairs and/or replacement of equipment.
  • Conducts periodic inspections of building systems and equipment to ensure working quality.
  • May coordinate activities with the CTT program, if applicable.
  • Conducts inspections and maintains code and safety requirements.
  • Provides supervision and training to Job Corps’ Work-Based Learning, Leisure Time Student Workers assigned to the Maintenance Department and CTST students.
  • Produces quality work/assignments in a thorough, timely and accurate manner.
  • Maintains appropriate personal attendance, accountability and work productivity standards.
  • Plans, prioritizes and organizes assignments to meet established goals and deadlines.
