Maintenance Technician
Location: Kingstree, SC

What You’ll Do:

Maintaining the machinery including hydraulics, pumps, mechanical transmission, chillers, compressors, mechanical seals, and gear boxes. Perform confined space entries; equipment PMs; complete corrective (emergency) work orders; maintain operability of production equipment in a SAFE manner. Be willing to work any shift and be on call as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete assigned tasks and work orders in an efficient, safe manner and maintain a clean cGMP work environment in assigned areas.
  • Comply with all safe work practices including but not limited to work permitting, lock-out/tag-out, confined space entry, hot work, working at heights, line-breaking, and mechanical safety.
  • Basic knowledge of Maintenance CMMS (SAP) to obtain relevant work order, equipment, and spare part information
  • Diagnose equipment failures and recommend alternatives to minimize repair costs and equipment downtime.
  • Provide accurate, detailed, timely and documented turnovers of equipment to operations and others within the department.
  • Cross-train whenever possible to help achieve a more efficient Maintenance Department and provide feedback for needed training. Provide training for new operators and professional personnel. Verify competence of operators.
  • Identify, report, and investigate incidents in areas of responsibility. Participate in or lead departmental audits, housekeeping inspections, and other specialty SHE audits as appropriate.
  • Ensure Quality procedures, Management Directives, and Quality & Report any quality deviations or non-conformances that you observe.

You bring:

  • Minimum high school diploma; secondary education in industrial maintenance preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience within mechanical maintenance organization.
  • Successful completion of Level I training requirements in mechanical maintenance.
  • Communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating shift
