Perform basic to advanced troubleshooting of equipment mechanical issues.

Describe the basic operating concepts and fundamentals of the major factory systems

Interpret and revise equipment, hydraulic, and piping drawings, blueprints, and schematics.

Install and troubleshoot bearings, seals, and gaskets.

Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot equipment generally classified as mechanical power transmission including gearboxes/drives, transmissions, conveyors (belt, scroll, bucket), and rollers.

Install, troubleshoot, and align shafts and couplings (laser and dial alignment).

Install and align trunions for large rotating equipment (including requisite rigging) .

Fabricate and install tubing and piping systems, including fittings, manufactured from various materials.

Install, maintain, rebuild, replace, and troubleshoot valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, and mechanical seals.

Maintain and troubleshoot rock grinding equipment.

Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic (vacuum) systems including air compressors and air handling units.

Maintain, repair, and replace fans and blowers including airlocks (rotary valves).

Weld carbon steel and stainless-steel metals

Cut metals using plasma and/or oxyacetylene equipment.

Optimize mechanical equipment operation.

Operate and be a licensed Powered Industrial Truck Operator

Operate and be a licensed Aerial Platform Operator

Must have all tools and rigging equipment

Electrical experience a plus!

Supportive to plant 24/7 operations, including extended hours and on-call rotation when needed

Perform daily housekeeping

Follow all safety rules!

  • Minimum of five years’ experience working in heavy industrial maintenance environment.

Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, and demonstrated ability to determine root cause of equipment failure

  • This is a rotating shift position but must be available to work other shifts as needed.

Positive attitude toward change and the ability to adapt and relate to the work environment and the associates.

  • Ability to operate cut off saws, sanders, milling machine, and lathe.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform monthly test on all safety systems.
  • Responsible for keeping Safety First for you and your co-workers.
  • Work with production operators on changeovers and equipment change processes.
  • Report and inventory parts used on the off shifts to ensure proper parts inventory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.72 per hour
