JOB SUMMARY

NOBO, Michigan, is seeking a Facility Maintenance Technician. As the Facility Maintenance Technician, you will ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and compliant condition and is satisfactory for all required production and manufacturing operations. The maintenance technician is responsible for the facility's upkeep and should have various skills, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC certification.

CORE JOB DUTIES

  • Assists with building inspections, procuring bids, building operations, leasing, and projects, as needed
  • Timely completion of work lists
  • Check HVAC, door, interior/exterior lighting, roof, and general premises on a routine schedule.
  • Maintain all building systems, including interior/exterior lighting, HVAC, thermostats, life safety, and building security, including fencing.
  • Repair mechanical equipment as directed.
  • Keep a log of maintenance performed.
    Electrical, including bulbs/ballast replacement, plumbing, painting, and carpentry as required
  • Exhibit ownership of focus areas to support the team and culture of the facility
  • Have keys to every area marked and organized, and be knowledgeable of the various keys
  • Patrol building exterior for garbage and necessary maintenance.
  • Maintain Landscaping vendor
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail to increase productivity.
  • Snow/salt or other groundwork as required (maintain snow plow vendor)
  • Maintain HVAC contractor
  • Maintain Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing contractors
  • Maintain an inventory list for janitorial, mechanical, and electrical supplies
  • Move equipment, tools, or supplies between properties as required
  • Errands as required, including picking up supplies at various vendors as required
  • Assist in roof maintenance repair work as needed
  • Touch-up and full painting or dry-wall patching as needed
  • Miscellaneous troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Monitor utility usage and be responsible for building energy management (including but not limited to) the building automation system
  • Properly mark store purchase receipts and submit them to the accounting office.
  • Other duties as necessary

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be 21 years of age or older to apply.
  • Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Willing to travel to other company locations including provisioning centers.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • 5 years experience in the maintenance-related field or a combination of experience and technical training.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs
  • Excellent organizational skills as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment
  • 1-3 years of industrial building maintenance preferred
  • Ability to read machine prints and perform machine repair
  • Relevant technical knowledge
  • HVAC Certified (preferred)
  • Experience in a production environment using mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting skills; utility installations (electrical, steam, air, process piping) are a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional weekend work as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Southwest Michigan/Benton Harbor
  • Reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (Required)
