Piatt Hotel Group is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join their centralized facilities team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing basic maintenance for our portfolio of properties which includes hotels, commercial and residential properties. The maintenance technician will go to the properties that need assistance or attended to. This position will travel from location to location on a regular basis. As needed, the position may be assigned specifically to one of our locations for a length of time. • Operate, maintain and repair all hotel physical plant equipment and systems including equipment for pantry, laundry and guest rooms.
• Perform all assigned preventative maintenance work on guest rooms and equipment and record all work done.
• Be familiar with hotel’s fire protection systems and alarms. Ensure that hotel staff is trained in emergency procedures and fire panel training.
• Report daily to Regional Facilities Manager with any maintenance issues or issues or area of concern.
• Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance, and repair of structures and equipment.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing devices to test, diagnose and repair equipment.
• Make structure repairs to masonry, woodwork and furnishings, patch or replace plaster, paint walls, ceiling and trim. Cut and lay flooring (linoleum, carpet, tile,etc.)
• Record utility readings daily and maintain monthly records.
• Use all safety requirements when operating machinery.
• Follow all MSDS requirements at all times.
• Follow all OSHA requirements at all times.
• Communicate any unfinished maintenance requests.
• Be prepared to clean sidewalks and entrances to the hotel of ice and snow, when necessary.
