Maintenance Help Needed for Real-Estate Management Company. Located at BarProducts in Largo.

A handyman-type person would be responsible for the general upkeep of our properties and equipment and communicating and responding to residents, staff, and visitors in a professional and timely manner. We are looking for Full-Time handyman/maintenance technicians to maintain our properties. At HastingsUsa.com we maintain about 30 different properties in Pinellas county Florida and about 140 apartments at those locations as well as duplexes and single-family homes. Ideal candidates will be able to help us keep up with all the maintenance required.

Entry-Level and Experienced handyman positions are available. Hourly compensation for general labor starts out at $17/hr and up to $25/hr. Depending on your skill level. Discounted rent is available to those that need to move to Pinellas county.

Knowledge in: general maintenance and repair – mechanical, electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, drywall, concrete, roofing, lawn maintenance, cleaning apartments to make ready for new tenants, and knowledge in A/C's is always nice.

Must:

-Have your own vehicle and a valid driver's license

-Have basic tools

-Strong problem-solving skills -Be well organized

-Be able to push or pull 100 pounds and lift and/or carry 60 pounds.

-Be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach, climb ladders, crawl in attics, kneel and be low to the ground when necessary, sometimes for extended periods of time.

-Be able to speak and read English, the ability to communicate in another language may be helpful.

-Have the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. -Display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness at all times.

-Have a good smartphone, this is how we track your hours and pay you. (Unless you are management we have a no cell phone policy during working hours) **Authorized break time is your personal cell phone time. 10 am to 10:10 am and 2 pm to 2:10 pm.** You can stay clocked in for the two authorized break times and use your cell for personal use. Lunch is from 12 pm to 12:30 pm and you must clock out.

Things to know:

- We meet every day at 7 am to discuss the plan for each person and each job you will be needed at. Either by phone or in person the meeting takes place. -Health insurance is available after 90 days.

-Paid sick and vacation days available after 1-year of employment

-Holiday pay is available after 1-year of employment as well.

Essential Duties:

Vacant unit preparation for new tenant move-ins

Emergency repairs

Diagnose problems and make repairs within apartments and buildings

Other duties as assigned

We conduct a Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Check.
