We are currently hiring a Maintenance Worker/Courier based in Worcester. This position performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. This position will also serve as a Courier. The person in this role will use company provided vehicle to deliver mail, messages, documents, packages and other items between EMKCHC sites as requested

Job Summary:

• Carpentry: Performs basic rough and finished carpentry and repair of structures such as partitions, walls, doors, fences, window frames, office furniture, roofs, and shelves
• Electrical: Performs basic electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, power circuits and appliances; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions
• Plumbing/Painting: Identifies and performs basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; opens clogged lines and drains; replaces washers and other minor parts; applies and prepares various surfaces for paint, enamel, lacquer, varnish, or stain; repairs wall coverings
• Grounds Maintenance: Maintains grounds in clean and orderly manner including maintains grounds maintenance equipment; trims tree branches that create hazardous situations; maintains sidewalks and parking lots including snow and ice removal
• Provide general maintenance and courier services to designated Health Center locations utilizing reliable personal and/or business motor vehicle transportation.
• Using determined route and schedule, pick-up and delivery incoming, inter-office, and outgoing mail from post office box and EMKCHC sites. Unload and sort items collected along delivery route.
• Ensure items/packages/bins are loaded into the vehicle correctly

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years of facilities maintenance experience that demonstrates general knowledge/skills of building operations including basic plumbing, basis electrical, basic carpentry, and basic landscaping
• Basic computer skills including email, typing, spreadsheets, word processing.
• Our health center requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID19 and Flu.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-4 years technical school training in related general maintenance field.
