POSITION SUMMARY:

To perform general unskilled manual labor; on occasion, to operate farm equipment and other motor equipment; and to do related work as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Load and unload trucks
• Cut, roll, and stack sod (Fully Automated Small Rolls with Firefly and/or Brouwer Robomax Harvesters/Large Rolls with Magnum Harvesters).
• Operate mowers, forklifts, and sod harvesters.
• When work in sod is not available, workers may be offered other general agricultural duties associated with sod/row crop farming, including building and equipment maintenance tasks.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE DESIRED:

• No Education/Experience Required. (Will train as needed)

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

• The ability to understand and carry out oral instructions.
• The physical ability to do manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion
• The ability to learn to use and/or operate light motor equipment.
• The ability to learn to use and/or operate wheel loaders/forklifts

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: (IF APPLICABLE)

• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS (Lifting, Bending, Stretching, etc.)

• Heavy lifting and physical exertion will be necessary.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed outdoors in various field locations on the farm.
• Require exposure to all temperature and weather extremes (i.e., heat, rain, wind, cold, and dusty conditions), moving equipment, loud noises, wetness and dust

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Must be a team player who is willing to cooperate with others.

Must be able to accept corrective criticism from supervisor.

Must be willing to take on a variety of assignments as assigned by management on an as-needed basis within the department and within other areas of Cranmer Grass Farms, Inc. if necessary.

Bi-Lingual English/Spanish helpful but not mandatory
