ABOUT THE ROLE
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
Project Healthy Minds is looking for a seasoned Major Gifts leader to design and implement a fundraising strategy for our growing community of annual, major, and principal gift donors. We are growing quickly and need a proven leader to own new initiatives, including recently launched individual giving programs that are rapidly expanding the prospect pipeline. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative front-line fundraiser who is skilled at cultivating and strengthening key relationships while also building comprehensive systems and unique donor engagement experiences.
HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
  • Create and lead the strategy for leadership donors and prospects, directing all identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities
  • Actively manage a pool of +50 donors with customized fundraising roadmaps
Develop and implement creative donor relations programs with customized benefits that engage our top donors and educate them on giving opportunities; own and grow existing membership circles
  • Curate compelling in-person donor cultivation experiences that facilitate community and strengthen the connectivity between supporters
  • Oversee cohort gift acknowledgement and recognition processes to ensure long-term commitment and expanded support
  • Work closely with the CEO to plan and execute meeting agendas, asks, and follow ups for select high-capacity donors and governance members
  • Build a culture of Salesforce utilization to track and evaluate the team’s key metrics, and use insights to continually improve practices
  • Engage in ongoing learning of Project Healthy Mind’s programmatic priorities to serve as a trusted, educated steward of our work
  • Partner with Head of Development Partnerships & Events on executing fundraising strategies for all signature events, including the inaugural gala
  • Ensure warm, timely, and tailored responses to all queries; maintain active correspondence with donors, ensuring they are communicated with regularly and aware of the wide range of engagement opportunities

ABOUT YOU
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE IS:
  • Mission-driven – you are passionate about our work and eager to build something brand new in the mental health non-profit space.
  • A skilled fundraiser – you are bringing a wealth of experience with individual fundraising in the non-profit sector. you have actively managed and grown a donor pool and secured six and seven figure gifts. You offer extensive knowledge on industry standards and best practices.
  • Emotionally intelligent – you understand that the heart of this role lies in building deep, thoughtful connections with our community members. With excellent communication skills, reliability, and a positive, confident disposition, you care about serving as the main point of contact for a large group of stakeholders with diverse personalities and backgrounds.
  • Flexible – you can easily balance different priorities. You also have the ability to travel when necessary.
  • Proficient in Salesforce – you are familiar with using Salesforce (or another CRM) to store detailed notes and track progress against bottom lines.
  • Driven by customer satisfaction – your overarching goal is to give each donor a customized, outstanding experience with Project Healthy Minds.
  • A team player – you are autonomous, managing many relationships single-handedly, but love working as a team to figure out how to better serve our donors and execute on our mission globally.
  • Experienced – Bachelor’s degree and at least 4-6 years of experience working directly in nonprofit fundraising with proven success in securing major gifts

The annual salary for this role is between $100,000 and $125,000.
