  • Reports to the Director of Facilities.
  • Management responsibility for all the AS Sector remote facilities sites infrastructure, preventive maintenance, and projects.
  • Works closely with and/or provides advice and counsel to company and/or vendor representatives coordinating major facilities infrastructure and equipment maintenance.
  • Supervises employees and/or outside contractors who construct, maintain, and repair utilities systems, buildings, and infrastructure and equipment via the following trades: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, air-conditioning, heating, painting, electronics, fire protection systems, production line maintenance technicians, HVAC mechanics, equipment controls programming, remote monitoring systems and/or general maintenance, housekeeping, and landscaping.
  • Collaborates with site Leadership and functional organizations to propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
  • Sets priorities, performs forecasting, and allocates the resources needed to complete all projects, preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Supervises employees who specify and prepare statements of work to install, maintain, repair, upgrade and replace facilities infrastructure assets.
  • Administers or coordinates with personnel who administer maintenance and repair contracts and purchase materials/resources.
  • Provides status on maintenance and project metrics performance to leadership.
  • Represents Facilities organization in site and program functional coordination meetings.
  • Develops requirements and administers budgets, schedules and standards of performance for site operations and execution.
  • Conducts briefings and technical meetings for internal and external representatives.
  • Acts as an advisor to supervisors and staff members to meet schedules or resolve technical and operational problems.
  • Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization.
  • Utilizes Maximo computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track and report on infrastructure maintenance, service requests/work orders and trouble calls.
  • Perform functional responsibilities related to day-to-day management including performance management, career development, and engagement strategy execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of leadership experience working operational or facilities maintenance management role or 6 years with a Masters Degree.
  • Familiar with establishing and tracking performance metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Experience managing teams and achieving organization objectives, goals and metrics
  • Aerospace industry experience
  • Familiarity briefing senior level management and executive leadership
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems
  • Experience working in a mission critical facility environment
  • Must be able to obtain maintain government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiar with aerospace equipment and manufacturing facilities infrastructure
  • Master’s Degree in Business Management
  • Experience using Maximo and/or other maintenance management system

Salary Ranges:

California - $134,600 - $201,800

Florida - $116,200 - $174,400

This position reports to Palmdale, CA, USA, however, you are able to work from any of the additional 2 locations listed above.



Salary Range: $116,200 USD - $201,800 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
