Role Overview:
The Manager of Strategic Finance will enable better-informed business decisions through collection and analysis of financial and operational data. Key areas of focus will include: Key performance indicator (KPI) measuring and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, ad hoc analytical projects, capital raising, and M&A. Success will require technical ability to create processes to efficiently and accurately gather data, financial and business knowledge to generate insights from data, and interpersonal skills to present findings to key business leaders.

Responsibilities

    • Manage monthly finance close process to ensure we quickly and accurately understand our key financial metrics
    • Communicate performance vs. budget to business leaders and work with leaders to improve performance
    • Own a portion of Tegus’ financial forecast and continually drive towards improving forecast methodology
    • Streamline processes for collecting, manipulating, and reporting on key data
    • Collaborate with data, business operations, and sales operations teams to ensure consistency of data across company
    • Perform data-driven analysis of business questions to support investment decisions and business priorities
    • Work closely with senior leadership to evaluate and execute on strategic projects, M&A opportunities, and new areas for investment
    • Manage internal financial processes such as equity compensation

Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, investing, or corporate finance
    • Working knowledge of GAAP accounting
    • High degree of curiosity and desire to learn about all aspects of Tegus’ business
    • Team player who takes a “no job is too small” approach
    • Process-oriented, continually seeks ways to make processes more efficient and less error-prone
