Masis Staffing is now hiring a Manufactory Color Matcher Quality Control for one of our Plastics Manufactory in Leominster MA.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 3pm to 11pm.

Summary:

Perform color matches in various resins, provide quality control (QC) and color technical support to production and customer agents. Ideal candidate would possess superior color vision and be a team player possessing excellent communication and analytical skills. Reports to Lab Manager.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Minimum 3 years color matching experience

Minimum 2 years related experience in Plastics manufacturing facility

High School Diploma or equivalent.

The ideal candidate will have Bachelor of Science in Polymer, General or Color Science

Qualifications:

· An understanding knowledge of color theory, pigments, dyes and special effect colorants for polymers, plus fundamental polymer and processing knowledge.

· Working knowledge of spectrophotometer, application software, and color space theory.

· Thorough knowledge of pigments and their use in specific resins and/or applications.

· Knowledge of injection molding processing and ability to operate lab molding machine.

· Competency in basic math and computer skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel, a must.

· Ability to demonstrate strong administrative and organizational skills.

· Good language & writing skills and ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the company.

· Ability to work independently on several different tasks, set priorities and ensure completion.

· Experience with scheduling, reviewing, prioritizing, routing and responding to inquiries.

· Willingness to work a flexible schedule, as needed.

Responsibilities:

· Perform color matches in various resins, including, including olefins, styrenics, polycarbonate, nylon, polyesters, urethanes, PVC, acrylics, and cellulosics.

· Do “special effect” color matching, including fluorescents, phosphorescents, metallic, and pearlescent.

· Develop new formulas for color samples, demonstrating precision in color matching, optimal colorant loading, and minimal raw material costs, meeting customer requirements.

· Provide QC support to Production and initiate color adjustment of off-color product.

· Evaluate applications and base resins used to determine appropriate pigment choices.

· Enter data in ERP and Color measurement system, ensure all documented procedures are followed.

· Evaluate new pigments (approve or reject incoming raw materials).

· Provide color technical support to customers.

· Complete color chips and samples for customers, including proper labeling.

· Support Quality Systems Inspection as required.

· Participate in ISO record keeping.

· Ability to operate lab molding machine.

· Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
