Exxelia Micropen is a technology leader in the design, development and manufacturing of precision resistor components, medical devices and other electronic components and sensors. We are growing and looking for a Manufacturing Accountant to join our team to support the growing needs of our manufacturing operations. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer.

Job Summary: The Manufacturing Accountant will be responsible for preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliations, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors and tax accountants as required. This role also involves the production of Financial Statements, P&L and Cash Flow projections, and Budgets along with supporting process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily review and control of production and inventory transactions,
  • Play critical role in month end closing process, preparing journal entries for approval and investigating variances,
  • Actively participate in preparation and analysis of financial results and balance sheets,
  • Prepare account reconciliations and support the annual audit,
  • Assist CFO with development of data-driven, fact-based information to support productivity improvements,
  • Sustain and improve internal control environment,
  • Contribute to the preparation of the budget and forecasts,
  • Participate in various special projects,
  • Assist with payroll, AR, and AP as alternate.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, progress toward or completion of CMA or CPA a plus,
  • 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing accounting, cost accounting or finance experience,
  • Must be proficient in all MS Office programs, with advanced skills in Excel,
  • Demonstrate analytical and organizational skills,
  • Possess strong prioritization skills, flexibility, and ability to multi-task,
  • Ability to work with deadlines and a changing environment,
  • Experience using Epicor or similar ERP preferred,
  • Knowledge of Continuous improvement and 5S a plus.
