Job Description/Essential Functions:

• Works with department supervisors to coordinate and support activities, projects and assigns duties to operators running CNC mills and lathes, punch presses, press brakes and other machine or sheet metal shop equipment.
• Collects and analyzes manufacturing data to investigate and troubleshoot operational problems affecting production.
• Evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
• Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers.
• Prepares manufacturing documentation, and maintains records and reporting systems for the coordination of manufacturing operations.
• Coordinates and implements engineering change notices (ECN’s) and corrective actions. Trains workers as a result of these changes.
• Establishes and adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules, using knowledge of capacities of machines and equipment.
• Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
• Revises and writes process work instructions. Trains workers to new or revised work instructions.
• Performs duties in support of the company’s quality policy, ISO 13485:2016 and FDA/QSR.

Skills & Qualifications Needed:

• Knowledge and experience of manufacturing processes, sheet metal and machining processes
• Knowledge of engineering principles and concepts
• Good project management skills
• Create clear, concise reports, proposals and presentations
• Competency in computer systems, engineering software, CAD and MS Word and MS Excel
• Solve problems while using creativity, analytical skills, and independent judgement and/or action
• Working knowledge of shop mathematics using metrics and conversion to standard
• Maintain flexibility within an international corporation
• Work independently and as a member of a team
• Meet deadlines and production goals
• Prioritize and handle multiple, concurrent projects or assignments
