Local aircraft precision machine shop seeks Manufacturing Engineer.
A Manufacturing Engineer oversees and improves manufacturing process to achieve high-quality products. Individual should have a strong knowledge of tool design and fabrication methods, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work independently or in a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES: This Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for design of manufacturing fixturing, development of manufacturing processes, and programming of CNC and/or CMM equipment. Other duties may include quotation assistance, troubleshooting and support of manufacturing and quality control processes, identifying areas for improvement, and project management.
REQUIRED: BS in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering --2 yrs minimum recent 3D CAD experience - minimum of 2 years of experience in a precision manufacturing environment. Gas turbine hardware experience strongly preferred. U.S. Citizenship required for security clearance.
DESIRED: Good mechanical aptitude / ability and desire to take a 'hands-on' approach, General machining or shop experience, Experience in Mastercam and/or Solidworks. CNC Machine programming experience (EDM, milling, grinding) CMM programming experience, SPC background, Applications programming.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Starting pay scale $65,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience. Sign-on bonus $1,000 payable after 90 days.
