Savings Bank of Mendocino County has proudly been serving the needs of our communities since 1903 and is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Marketing and Community Outreach Specialist in the Marketing Department. This position involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the Marketing Team to implement the Marketing Plan through advertising, brand awareness, public relations, customer service, community outreach, special events, and general clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate for this hands-on position is a motivated team player with two years of experience and/or training in banking, marketing, public relations, community outreach or a similar position. A successful person in this role is organized, self-motivated, creative, has strong interpersonal and time management skills, and is comfortable interacting with a broad range of individuals internally and in the community. • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Two years of experience and/or training in banking, marketing, public relations, community outreach or similar position or Associate’s degree in marketing
• Previous experience using Windows-based computers
• Ability to occasionally participate in evening and weekend community outreach events

• Graphic design skills
• Photography and post-production skills
• Video production and post-production skills
• Social Media skills
• Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position
• Bilingual skills

This position is set in a quiet, office environment but includes attending meetings and events in the community where the noise level will vary. The position is generally regarded as light work.
