We are seeking an evening Mashgiach/cha (Kosher supervisor) for our location in Lincolnwood.

Qualifications

• Certification by the Chicago Rabbinical Council to work as a Mashgiach/cha is required to obtain this position. You must either have this or be able to obtain!
• Ability to exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to 6 hours in length
• Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, and place objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance; Stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift; Complete tasks that require repetitive motion
• Certified or willing to certify in Food Handling Service.
• Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, inclusive of weekends and some holidays
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, managers and team members
• Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, in a fast-paced environment

Expectations

• This is not a "Nonworking Position" As the Mashgiach/Mashgicha you would be Shomer for the restaurant and a keyholder, but would also be either a Chef, Host or Server and can make additional tips
• Knowledge and passion for the food & beverage industry
• A passion for quality and respect for team members and guests
• Nurture an excellent guest experience by interacting with guests in a personable and professional manner
• Become well-versed in our menu items in order to understand all the ingredients and how they pertain to Kosher requirements.
• Perform side tasks if requested provided that they do not impede or distract from your role and ability to supervise and enforce Kosher standards
• Adhere to all health and safety standards and policies
• Adhere to and enforce all Kosher regulations while at work as set forth by our certifying agency
