Job Category: Production Summary: Responsible for the accurate and efficient handling of raw materials to the specifications. Must adhere to all company GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SQF, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and all Food Safety policies. Duties and Responsibilities: (Include, but are not limited to the following) • Supply Production Department with raw materials as necessary for manufacturing. • Under the direction of the coordinator and/or operator, provide general assistance to ensure the production process's smooth running. • Locates and safely moves raw material to the production department with equipment such as a pallet jack and carts. • Ensure compliance with all safety and work rules. • Standing for long periods in a cold/refrigerated environment (28 F). • Follow and understand verbal instruction in a fast-paced environment and work under an immediate supervisor. • Daily breaking down of basic production equipment, cleaning, and sanitizing. • Ensure clean, safe, and organized work areas and clean room. • Ensure that all food safety, quality assurance, SQF and GMP policies and procedures are followed. • Comply with all health, sanitation, and USDA regulations. • Ability to frequently lift, push and pull. • Ability to frequently walk throughout production rooms through the workday. • Ability to frequently bend and lift at the waist/knees. • Assembling and disassembling boxes, packing meat products, weighing, and loading boxes on pallets. • Safely operate the following: Box cutter, box sealer, scale, and vacuum sealer. • Collect wash and sanitize boxes for re-use in production. • Comply with policies as described in the Employee Handbook and other policies and procedure documents. • Description Page 2 of 2 • Perform additional tasks from time to time as determined by Bertolino Foods at its sole and absolute discretion. Such tasks may include but are not limited to cleaning condensation from refrigeration units, cleaning windows, etc., and other basic manual tasks as required. Requirements: • Ability to lift and move up to 75 pounds • Ability to push/pull heavy objects. • Subject to cold weather conditions (28F) • Able to operate a pallet jack • Strong sense of time organization and urgency Food Safety Production Areas: • Notify management of any repairs or adjustments that are required • Perform all duties necessary to meet SQF, Bertolino Foods’s and Government requirements • Inform management of ANY food safety or quality issues
