We currently seek to fill the role of Materials Associate to utilize KBC’s ERP system, along with knowledge and experience to transport shop materials in a proficient, timely, and damage-free manner for both internal and external customers to ensure manufacturing dates are met, all while advancing KBC’s mission of being a forward-thinking, collaborative, and ethical business.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs primary and back-up functions within the materials department, according to manufacturing schedule and workload.
  • Receives material into KBC’s ERP system, assigns proper location, and transfers material to the proper location by using forklifts, carts, or other means.
  • Makes transactions in ERP system for part location and issuance of material to production jobs.
  • Assists in pulling and delivery of material required for Manufacturing, Assembly, and also the kits needed for shipping.
  • Pulls and delivers in-process material between resource centers.
  • Pulls and delivers plastic raw materials to resource centers and returns plastic raw materials to locations in the warehouse.
  • Maintains staging area locations FIFO lanes.
  • Supports raw material cycle count activity.
  • Assist and provide back up in the shipping and receiving department as necessary.
  • Support company 5S efforts by cleaning and organizing areas as directed.
  • Operates floor sweeper/scrubber as needed.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Strives to meet or exceed customer expectations and strives for continuous improvement in the daily processes of conducting business.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrates KBC values of personal accountability, discipline, trust, and proactive action
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for the position, and at least two years of related experience.
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, have a sense of urgency, and be willing to work in a team environment.
  • Must be willing to train and act as back-up as need in the shipping and receiving department.
  • Must be able to read and write simple correspondence and have basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
