Materials Handler

Day Shift: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm in Marysville, WA

The Everett Clinic a part of Optum Healthcare Network is now offering qualified candidates an opportunity to join our team as a Materials Handler. The Materials Handler will be responsible for coordination of supply management strategies and tools for stocking/restocking supplies and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supply Chain Operations

  • Performs all Material Coordinator I functions to provide backup, promote cross training and standard practices in addition to assisting with training of new staff.

  • Independently makes decisions and takes action regarding supply implementations, keeping management informed, and/or makes pertinent recommendations based upon analysis of information supply room set up and implementation, including selection of product mix and minimum/maximum determination.

  • Support daily operations in order to meet our customer’s quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

  • Assist with development and maintenance of standard work for all Material Coordinator’ responsibilities.

Department Support

  • Stay current on all new process changes within Materials Management and helps with the education of all Material Coordinators and Runners if appropriate.

  • Par Room/Order Processing/Driving
    Update assigned Par Rooms with par level changes.

  • Drive company trucks servicing specific routes.

  • Maintain par room locations

  • Re order point processing (ROP) for buy and transfer items

  • Accurately pull par room transfers and issue pick tickets

  • Pick verify issue and transfer pick tickets

  • Pro-actively identify and trouble-shoot par room inventory variances and give an action/resolution to correct variance.

  • Review and provide corrective action on negative inventory reports and item update exception reports

  • Pull expired product on first of month

  • Handle and resolve any transfer requisition with a partial pick quantity, pick verify transfer and issue requisitions


Other

  • Assist with removing damaged materials from stock.

  • Report inventory shortage and recommending new orders.

  • Integrates Lean principles, practices and tools to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Frequently must follow written and oral instructions as well as complete routine tasks independently.

  • Completes annual compliance training on HIPAA/Privacy/Confidentiality/Non-Discrimination/Harassment/Integrity Statement and signs Agreements.
    Ensures confidentiality of patient information following HIPAA guidelines and Poly Clinic policies.

  • Attends training to meet requirements of the job position and as needed or mandated by Poly Clinic policies, Div. of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH), OSHA, L&I and other state/federal regulations.

  • Has regular and predictable attendance.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Note that these requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required to perform this job.

Knowledge: Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and purchasing. Experience using Word and Excel software to advanced levels that includes mail merge and database management.

Skills: Excellent customer service skills. Organizational skills and the ability to work independently. Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills.

Education: High School Diploma

Experience: Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience demonstrating solid inventory control processes. Experience with Par Excellence software, and Infinium preferred.

Certificate/License: Valid Washington State Driver’s License
