Meals on Wheels Driver - Southbridge Job at Tri-Valley, Inc.
Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 12:00PM every other week. Hours may be revised by the site
Basic Function: Responsible for a home delivered meal route and related jobs at the Nutrition Center.
Responsibilities include:
1. Count and pack food trays for home delivery.
2. Count and pack hot and cold food products into carriers.
3. Monitor food temperatures during delivery.
4. Deliver meals to homebound participants and maintain records for routes.
5. Maintain paperwork and report any emergencies or changes in participant status to the Nutrition Center Coordinator or Meals on Wheels Coordinator.
6. Clean meal delivery equipment daily.
7. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
1. Must have valid driver’s license, good driving record and required insurance coverage.
2. Must have a motor vehicle.
3. Accurate record keeping skills.
4. Ability to work well with elderly participants.
5. Ability to learn delivery routes and capable of training other drivers.
6. Capable of handling emergency situations and able to maintain confidentiality.
7. Ability to climb/descend stairs and navigate potentially uneven terrain (walkways, driveways, etc.)
8. Ability to lift equipment up to 25 pounds.
We offer excellent vacation, sick and personal time off policies which allow for the ability to de-stress and unwind throughout the course of the year. Fifty-six cents per mile for all Tri-Valley work related travel (increased temporarily from fifty-cents).
