Job Description:
Position"s Contributions to Work Group: Performance Structures Design Engineer - Current product maintenance including field problem resolution, factory efficiency improvements, cost reduction, and supplier deviation evaluation. Position, depended on candidate, may contribute to design for new product programs.

Typical Day: Typical task breakdown:

• Creo 3D modeling and engineering
• Drawing creation and detailing (lower frequency)
• Current product design modification and design
• Manufacturing (factory and supplier) collaboration

Interaction with team:

• Daily interaction with team leader, peer engineers, and extended engineering team
• Collaboration with Chennai India Caterpillar engineering team
• Collaboration with factories in the USA, Mexico, China, and Brazil
• Implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Travel Requirement: Remote - Part time (hybrid)

Qualifications:
Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 5-7 years experience required.

Required Technical Skills:

• Ability to work in Creo
• Heavy Structures design experience

Desired:

• Kinematic design experience
• Experience with Caterpillar TeamCenter

Soft Skills:
Required)

• Good communication both verbal and written
• Ability to work in Creo (over one year experience)

(Desired)

• Familiarity with Caterpillar TeamCenter processes
