The Media Specialist is a vital component of the Communications and Media team. The Media Specialist will focus on content creation to help communicate the ARC Story both internally and externally.

What qualifications you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Media field
• Substance abuse experience preferred.
• Adobe Creative Suite experience required
• Knowledge of DSLR/Cinematic cameras and audio recording required
• Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior, consistent with the ARC mission statement, when interacting with persons of varying backgrounds and education levels to create a safe and healthy relationship with clients served

What you will do in this role

• Help direct storytelling and assist in focusing on the direction of content production.
• Lead and assist with fieldwork
• Work with staff to produce documentaries, profiles, and other video-based products for social mediums.
• Train staff (new and existing) on various techniques pertaining to story development and content management.
• Develop media strategies focused on highlighting ARC’s mission – both digital and nondigital
• Work alongside ARC and partners to hone in on precise storytelling that focuses on the subject at hand
• Help document ARC’s and partners' history
• Maintain good relationships with ARC staff, administrative personnel, and external professional groups and agencies.
• Participate in staff and state regulatory training as required
• Adhere to program policies and procedures while maintaining a professional code of ethics
• Maintain a valid driver’s license
