Medical Assistant Job at Advanced Orthopaedic Specialists
AOS is searching for an experienced Medical Assistant who will assist our providers throughout clinic in the Harrison office.
Roles/Duties to expect in this position:
- You must be able to anticipate physician needs to facilitate the flow of clinic.
- Orthopaedic experience is preferred.
- You must exhibit good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated.
- You must be adaptable and versatile since you will be responsible for many tasks.
- Ensuring accuracy of chart notes and documentation
- Ensuring confidentiality and ease of transition from patient to patient
- Listening thoroughly and attentively throughout patient encounters
- Ensuring use of appropriate medical terminology in charting/scribing
- Ensuring quality of chart notes and coding
- Interacting with patients during their visit to ensure timely and courteous office visits
- Work personally with the physician in order to ensure the highest clinic efficiency
Requirements:
- Experience in using and understanding medical terminology
- Patient interface experience in clinical setting
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks throughout the day
- Computer experience with EMR systems preferred
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
