About ECU Health Duplin Hospital

ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary

Perform clinical support services, assist with secretarial/clerical duties and maintain patient care documentation in medical records.

Minimum Requirements

  • HS graduate or equivalent (or higher) required
  • Substitution: Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required (issued by the American Heart Association)

Preferred Requirements

  • One to two years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training preferred

Other Information

  • PRN (as needed)
  • Shift(s): 8 hours; primarily days
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish)
  • ECUH Pediatrics
