Medical Assistant
Kintegra Health is a community sponsored, family-centered provider of health care, health education and preventative care services without regard for the ability to pay.
We are looking for Medical Assistants to join our family in multiple locations in North Carolina.
*** This position is Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. You don’t work Weekends or Holidays! ***
Medical Assistant Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 1 year (preferred)
Certification(s)/Licensure: RMA, CMA, or CCMA required, BLS/CPR
Language: Spanish speaking is plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Taking of medical histories and recording vital signs
- Explaining treatment procedures to patients
- Preparing patients for examination
- Assisting the provider during the examination
- Fulfill patient care responsibilities as assigned and within the MA scope of practice.
- Accurately document all aspects of patient encounters
- Track and document closed loop communication with patients, including but not limited to labs, return calls, refills, and more
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Patient education and care plan support
- Guard patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations at all times
- Complete annual competencies within the required period
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Administrative duties may include answering telephones, greeting patients, updating and filing patient medical records
