Medical Billing / Collections Specialist (FT) Job at Integrated Therapy Solutions

What you will do:
- Report to work 40 hours a week 9 am to 6 pm with an hour lunch.
- Use Google Docs, Sheets and Gmail to organize work communications and data.
- Use an EMR System (Currently A2C medical).
- Navigate various Clearinghouse and payor websites.
- Enter data accurately in the system to maximize timely clean claim submission and collections.
- Ensure clinicians are properly credentialed
- Review and submit insurance claims accurately.
- Ensure smooth claim submissions, collections, and appeals.
- Review and audit insurance payments and explanation of benefits (EOB) for mistakes, patterns, non-payment and making sure these are corrected and collected on without delay.
- Answer client billing related questions and receive direct payments.
- Ensure that proper authorizations are received for different Health Insurances, HMOs,Workers Comp., Regional Centers, and others.
- Ensure that new referrals are scheduled in a timely manner after clients receive a good faith estimate of patient responsibilities.
- Cover the front desk duties as needed.
- Verify insurance benefits and request for treatment authorization as needed, making sure to get required reports from staff on time.
- Answer Phones / Fax / Scan / File / Print / Mail as needed.
- Whatever is needed to ensure collections exceed expenses.
- Work with a team dedicated to building happy families.
