Job Description
Total Primary Care is looking for a licensed Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) located in the Austin and San Antonio areas who is familiar with the supervision of Advanced Practice Practitioners (APPs - licensed Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants). The individual is required to be physically located in Austin and/or San Antonio. This is a supervisory position ONLY, and as per the Texas Medical Board (TMB) guidelines, the physician will supervise, with prescriptive authority, up to 7 full-time equivalent APPs. This includes monthly, in-person chart reviews with each APP supervised. The individual must also be available throughout the week for questions and consultations via phone and text with supervised individuals as needed (average of 4-8 hours per week).
This position is not full-time, and is perfect for a retired (or semi-retired) physician looking for added-income and an opportunity to mentor other licensed health professionals.

Texas Medical Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine required.
