Medical Receptionist Job at Vineyard Medical Care, LLC
Vineyard Medical Care is looking for seasonal assistance to support our front desk during the busy summer months. We are interested in individuals seeking to gain experience in a healthcare setting. If you like small town vibes and very flexible schedules, this would be the perfect fit for you.
We are a small medical office that serves year-round island and seasonal residents and welcomes vacationing visitors who require medical attention. Our office in Vineyard Haven provides primary care and offers another option to avoid hospital emergency room visits when care is needed for sudden illnesses or other common medical problems.
This is a part-time seasonal (spring/summer) position with potential for growth.
Responsibilities consist of a variety of tasks. Expected duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collecting patients' demographic information
- Verifying insurance eligibility
- Scheduling appointments
- Documenting and relaying patient messages to clinical staff
- Scanning and uploading patient documents
- Reviewing documents from incoming fax server
Skills & Qualifications:
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and other medical staff
- Must be compassionate and personable
- Computer proficiency
- Possess excellent phone skills and
- Ability to multitask
- Some office experience with knowledge of insurance verification and patient registration preferred
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Per diem
Pay: $32,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
