The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for administrative oversight of Medical Staff functions and is accountable for facilitation of Medical staff appointment and reappointment in coordination with University of Vermont Health Network Credentialing and Enrollment. The Medical Staff Coordinator works collaboratively with the Chief Medical Officer and the President of the Medical Staff to assure completion of critical operational functions of the Medical Staff in a thorough and timely manner.

Qualifications
- Two years of healthcare administration duties with previous credentialing experience and a working knowledge of hospital accreditation, medical/allied staff credentialing, privileging, appointment and licensure requirements.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with Medical Staff, hospital personnel, and UVMHN Departments as applicable
- Computer skills, word processing, data processing and spreadsheet usage required; familiarity with Cactus, Word, and Excel a plus.
- Willing to maintain a flexible work schedule as needed to support evening meetings and be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management Certification desired
- Affiliation with the National Association Medical Staff Services and the State Association Medical Staff Services strongly encouraged.
