Scheduling Note: This position covers 12:30pm - 9:00pm for Monday through Friday and every fourth weekend - 36 hours per week.
We offer the following differentials on top of the hourly rate of pay:
Evening $3 per hour
Night $5 per hour
Weekend $2 per hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials)

Job Description

Performs a variety of routine and complex tests in all areas of the laboratory, following established procedures, as assigned. Areas included are hematology, immunology, bacteriology, chemistry, serology, and microscopy.

Commands knowledge of laboratory information system.

Functions in areas of phlebotomy, specimen handling and processing, and report distribution as required.
Job Qualifications

Able to read, write and speak the English language.

Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology or a related science is required.

Clinical education in a school of Medical Technology or an affiliated agency.

Certification as an MT by the Board of Registry of ASCP, CLS by NCA, AMT, HEW or ISCLT is recommended. Must meet CLIA requirements for job position.

Experience is not required.

Approximately one year is required to learn the job for satisfactory performance. This will be evaluated by the laboratory director.
