The role of the Member Service Representative will be assisting our members with their financial needs including, but not limited to, receiving all loan applications, reviewing credit reports, and processing independently through to closing. They will also be responsible for promoting and cross-selling Pelican’s products in a way that is beneficial to our members. This position has the potential to earn monthly incentives based on attaining and exceeding sales goals.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE INCLUDES:

• Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of Pelican State CU's products and services.
• Balance transactions and verify cash totals. Investigate and resolve out-of-balance conditions.
• Enter loan applications. Close and disburse all consumer loan types.
• Efficiently and accurately back up tellers when needed, including balancing cash drawer at the end of the day.

MEMBER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDES:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of experience including lending, teller, or call center experience with a financial institution. Must have a strong background in sales.
• Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
