SURVICE Engineering is seeking a Communications Specialist to support strategic outreach and promotion efforts. We are looking for a passionate and cooperative team player with a strong work ethic, and strong communication and organization skills. Experience with the DoD community is a plus.

What will you be doing?:

• Managing a social media presence
• Developing the Digest newsletter (content and publication)
• Championing general website edits and development of new webpages
• Outreach to foster partnerships with influential defense systems organizations
• Designing graphics, images, and layouts for various publications
• Ensuring compliance with government procedures regarding the publication of images
• Scheduling and execution of webinars
• Planning and supporting events
• Occasional travel to promote services and products

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Media, Marketing, Communications or Business, Journalism or related field and at least 3 years of experience.
• Able to represent SURVICE in a polished and professional manner
• Interviewing skills
• Experience defining communication goals for digital communication products, working with web/digital design teams, writing content and providing insights to appropriate visuals
• Strong social media management experience. Keeping up with the latest developments and adjusting the strategy within emerging platforms to maximize brand awareness, increase social media engagement
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Strong copywriting skills and proficient of established writing style guides, as well as strong proofreading skills
• Problem-solver and over-communicator with an exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and meet deadlines
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web-based software programs
• Passionate and cooperative team player with a strong work ethic

Clearance requirements: Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense clearance

Travel to support services, products, and client events may be up to 20%.
