About the Position:

A Millwork Engineer at Dovetail will work on projects from the submittal phase through production. We are looking for a candidate with multiple years of experience in Microvellum and AutoCAD. The right person will have extensive production experience with all types of high-end millwork including paneling, doors, casework, moldings, stone, architectural metals and special finishes. The candidate will need a knowledge of millwork and casework using AWI standards, as well as the ability to quickly adapt to company processes and standards. Typical scope of work ranging from $1 million to over $10 million. Each project can range from 2 months to 2 years depending on the type of construction and complexity.

Responsibilities:

• Create 2d submittal drawings following company standards
• Read and Evaluate drawings and specifications
• Utilize Microvellum and AutoCAD to produce engineered products
• Project positive attitude while establishing effective professional relationships
• Communicate and work closely with Dovetail team members
• Proactively handle project issues and/or risks

Qualifications:

• Minimum (5) years relevant experience in millwork engineering
• Experience using Microvellum/AutoCAD in commercial architectural millwork
• Knowledgeable in architectural millwork and casework production methods and fabrication techniques.
• Personality that can strive in an intense fast paced work environment
• Experience working on complex projects
• Aptitude for math
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Critical thinker and problem solver
• Team player with a focused attention to detail
• Valid driver's license

Location:

Fully remote position unless in-office location is preferred.
