Each day, our Machinists …
- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot raw material primary processing equipment
- Fabricate, repair, install or replace parts on cigarette production equipment
- Maintain compressors, dryers and vacuum pumps
- Participate in necessary installations of all machinery and equipment (Millwright)
- Perform service on tractor trailers, such as replacing lights, checking fluids, mechanical repairs, etc.
- Provide support to mechanics, HVAC techs, Pipefitters and Electrical personnel as needed to complete projects and work orders
- Communicate with other employees (in and outside the department) to provide and obtain information related to operations
We need people who…
- Have good people skills, can communicate clearly, and can think quickly to solve problems
- Can identify repeat issues and offer solutions to eliminate problems
- Are flexible because some days don’t go as planned
- Can work any shift (first, second or third) and be on call
- Can climb ladders and lift moderately heavy loads
- Will commit to helping the company meet goals
- Have at least 3 years’ experience or served as a machinist apprentice with a machinist certificate.
