The Mine Operator role will be located at our Montpelier plant location.

ROLE:

The Mine Operator is responsible for operations, maintenance, and quality in the mine section.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Inspect and document work area for safety/environmental
  • Assist with other Mine Operators and Utility workers to ensure seamless transition of workflow processes
  • Work with the Grinding Process Operator to maintain sufficient quantities of raw ore in the stockpiles to meet crushing/grinding process
  • Work with others designated by management to ensure equipment is lubricated and maintained in safe working
  • Work with supervision and lab personnel, taking samples and segregating or blending mined product to maintain sufficient
  • Keep the mine area clean and free of; used maintenance items, spillage, trash etc.
  • Start up and shut down equipment/mine as needed
  • Identify all pieces of equipment in the
  • Ensure proper berms and road conditions in pit
  • Move the stacker conveyor vertically and horizontally.
  • Start and stop the mine dewatering
  • Obtain and enter the correct information into the mine-ops spreadsheet
  • Adjust the pan feeder rate.
  • Remove oversize rocks from the pan feeder grate/jaw crusher
  • Obtain and record all necessary values for equipment, i.e. mobile equipment hours, scale readings, fuel consumptions,
  • Rock Sorting
  • Shift work and overtime required as needed.

Operating Maintenance:

  • Grease all equipment in the section
  • Assist Maintenance on stationary equipment

Quality:

  • Properly identify and separate good material from waste
  • Create a good mix of soft and hard material for excellent product

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • Mobile Equipment Experience required
  • Mobile Equipment maintenance preferred
  • Mining experience prefer
