POSITION: Mishomis House Night Manager

LOCATION: Mishomis Wellness Center

WAGE: $18.00/hour, Plus Benefits

SUPERVISOR: Behavioral Health Director

THIS IS A REGULAR FULL-TIME NON-EXEMPT POSITION

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the management of the Mishomis Recovery Housing program nightly operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct, coordinate, and oversee evening operations of the Mishomis Recovery Housing Program.
  • Facilitate Covid safety plan including sanitizing common areas, maintaining sign in activity for contact tracing, and isolation in the event of a positive case.
  • Greet clients, visitors, and guests of the Mishomis Wellness Center.
  • Assist Mishomis Manager with referrals for recovery services at Mishomis House.
  • Assist Mishomis Manager with master schedule of available rooms, programs and activities
  • Answer the telephone, route calls to the appropriate staff person or take messages.
  • Arrange and schedule activities in accord with program protocols and group/individual service plans.
  • Assist with facilitation of screening assessments to obtain information in determining clients' needs and developing service plans.
  • Assist clients with accessing program resources to transition to permanent housing.
  • Facilitate cultural programming that supports AODA treatment strategies and respects individual preferences and differences.
  • Prepare and maintain records and case files, including documentation such as clients' personal and services provided, narratives of client contacts, and relevant correspondence.
  • Maintain proper and adequate documentation for all program expenditures.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all client specific information and data in accord with federal and state guidelines and requirements.
  • Assure healthy boundaries and ethics with clients at all times.
  • Transport residents in accord with facility policy and as directed by administration and in collaboration with treatment staff.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Sound judgment and the capacity to respond to unusual circumstances and emergencies.
  • Ability to deal constructively with emergencies and conflict.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or HSED, required.
  • Experience working in human services field, preferred.
  • This position must possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license, vehicle, and appropriate vehicle coverage as a condition of employment. Be eligible to be put on the Tribe’s vehicle insurance policy.

PERSONAL CONTACTS: Considerable daily contact will be made with the general public, tribal leadership, Program Directors and staff, consultant(s), and the Tribal Community.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The duties assigned to this position involve bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying. Items may be placed in overhead storage or shelving.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: All Tribal Buildings are smoke free.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to travel and attend meetings and trainings; overnight and out of town, both locally & nationally.
