At the direction of the Supervisor/Crew Lead the Mover/Helper will loads and unloads vehicles containing household goods, office furniture or other goods in a safe and careful manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Possess the ability to properly and safely lift, pack, load/unload the vehicle using cartons, bins, moving crates, dollies and carts to relocate contents, furnishings, and electronics to the appropriate location.
• Writes complete and accurate inventory of household contents, office furniture or other goods when required.
• Assists in any capacity as directed by the supervisor or crew leader on the assigned job.
• Assists the operations and warehouse in any function, as directed by the dispatcher or warehouse manager.
• Assists the driver in the inspection of the truck assigned for noted damages, flat or worn tires and travel worthiness.
• Assists in the preparation of vehicle before leaving warehouse to assure that all equipment and materials are on vehicle and secured for travel.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Test
• Language Skills - Must be able to speak and understand basic English.
• Citizenship - Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Energetic - Ability to work at a sustained pace and produce quality work.
• Friendly - Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Write, speak and understand English.
• Apply common sense understanding of written or oral instructions.
• The employee will need to be physically able to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. addition, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance.
• The employee will frequently lift and/or move more than 75 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 250 pounds with the assistance of others and proper equipment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma (or GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
