MP&L Specialist Planning

PURPOSE:

Oversee daily production planning of casting and secondary operations in a highly dynamic environment. Address customer concerns and shipping issues and develop action plans and root cause analysis and problem solving while addressing emergencies and supporting the plant with direction and confirmation of Production Requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Production Scheduling
• Production Control
• Customer Releases and EDI Forecasting
• Creating Sales Orders and Service Requests per customer requirements.
• Customer Service/Communication
• Maintain Customer Portals • Customer Delivery Ratings
• Component and Aluminum Forecasting based on Production Requirements
• Scheduling Expedited Shipments as required/needed
• Supplier relationships with Sub-Contractors
• Support Monthly Cycle Counts for Inventory

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering preferred
• Entry Level with some experience in Customer Service

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of die casting/automotive a plus
• SAP experience a plus
• MS Office – Excel Required

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.
• Good ability of planning, organizing, and controlling activities (multitasking)
• Results-oriented, product focused excellent ability to work cross functionally.
• Excellent Problem solving and debugging skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• • Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to, sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:

• Location: Sylacauga, Alabama
• Schedule: Straight Days
• Core Hours: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm / Monday – Friday
• Weekly Overtime: None Expected
• Weekend Work: None
• Travel: None
