JOB TITLE: MRI STAFF NURSE

LOCATION: UMASS/WORCESTER

HOURS: E/O SUNDAY 7A-730P, TUESDAY 9A-530P, WEDNESDAY 7A-330P, THURSDAY 9A-530P

(hours can be shared by multiple employees)

A. PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

In keeping with Shields Health Care commitment to excellence, the nursing staff will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment.

B. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.) Manages patient care, appropriate to the developmental age and cultural diversity

2.) Performs patient assessments/reassessments.

3.) Works collaboratively with other staff members

5.) Complies with legal and ethical aspects of patient care.

C. REQUIREMENTS:

1.) RN’s must possess a current license to practice in Massachusetts.

2.) BLS and PALS

D. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Registered Nurses in the state of MA

E. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum five years of previous nursing experience. Prior ICU, PACU or ER experience preferred.

F. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to stand, walk, reach and bend a minimum of 8 hours per day in a fast-paced environment servicing both inpatients and outpatients. Must be able to assist in lifting and transferring patient who may weigh in excess of 250 pounds.

G. INTERNAL/EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS:

This position requires extensive patient interaction with employees at all organizational levels. There is moderate interaction with outside sources.

Patient experience will include both inpatient and outpatients, all ages from birth to elderly, ICU, intubated and anesthesia cases, researching of implants.
