We are currently looking for a Multi-Unit Assistant Store Manager for our northeast locations!

Wheat Holdings LLC was established in 2017 by married couple Molly Shaheen and Huw Collins out of a mutual love for luxury fashion and travel. Since the start, the brand has successfully opened eight boutique locations on the east coast, west coast, and Caribbean, and continues to grow!

The Multi-Unit Assistant Store Manager for Wheat will assist in the over sight of 2 boutique store and cafe locations in our northeast region. They are expected to be a strong representation of company values and standards, and have an entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will be passionate about luxury fashion and have a deep knowledge of the brands we carry including MOTHER, Xirena, Re/Done,Citizens of Humanity, Naadam, Rails, Aviator Nation, and more. In addition, they will be able to educate employees and customers on our own Wheat Collection line that includes luxury loungewear, candles, and fragrances. Having a familiarity of the area and understanding seasonal sales trends is beneficial.

This candidate will be able to draw upon their previous management experience to help lead the team to success in reaching monthly store sales goals, maintaining visual displays, and engaging in weekly team conference calls. Prior experience in supervising a team, cash handling, register operations, receiving and processing shipments, daily inventory counts of fine goods, and light cleaning duties is a must. The candidate must be able to work independently and be willing to problem solve. Visual skills are not required, but are preferred as this position may require communication with the head of merchandizing. This role will require a strong ability to communicate both verbally and written, and reports to the Multi Unit Manager.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ongoing training of sales associates and baristas to ensure that goals are met.
  • Ongoing training and management of employees to ensure that the store standards are up held
  • Running errands to move product between locations or obtain supplies to ensure store/cafe run smoothly
  • Handing daily sales reports to validate cash on hand and communicate with Manager & Home Office
  • Weekly conference calls with other stores to discuss sales trends and potential pipelines
  • Demonstrating a strong understanding of leadership and drive
  • Assisting customer's needs and problem solving any guest related concerns within company standards
  • Full responsibility over the cash register, nightly deposits, and change orders as needed as well as running reports to validate cash on hand and deposits to communicate with Home Office
  • Ability to work the cash register system and train others on its functionality
  • Understanding the monthly sales goals and strategizing to maximize profitability
  • Responsibility leading a team in more than one location and solving any hiring needs
  • Sales floor maintenance, including but not limited to: restocking, merchandizing, and cleaning tasks
  • Receiving deliveries of goods and following Wheat protocol for putting it away
  • Sending end of shift email recaps with store presentation videos
  • Weekly conference calls with other store managers to discuss business trends

Skills & Qualifications

  • A thorough background of retail knowledge and skillsets is a must (ie. customer service, cash register, processing shipment arrivals, answering calls or emails, product knowledge)
  • Experience in assisting high end clientele
  • Experience and understanding of all Microsoft Office Products
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated
  • Ability to think independently and troubleshoot technological difficulties
  • Days, nights, and some weekends are a must; full responsibility for store operational hours
  • Candidates should be located within a 30 mile radius of the Wheat Boutique location
