Job Description

Ocean Properties is searching for an energetic experienced sales manager to join our Clearwater Sales office. This individual will be responsible for proactively soliciting group business for the award winning Sandpearl Resort, Belleview Inn and the Opal Sands Resort including the Opal Sands expansion scheduled to open in 2024.

Sales

*Proactive group sales solicitation to all markets but primarily corporate group and association.

*Understands the overall market- competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
*Attend community meetings and PR events
*Meet and exceed individual sales revenue goals
*Processes all business correspondence within acceptable time limits. Creates contracts and other related booking documentation as required. Manages and maintains account files.
*Ensures business booked is within hotel parameters.
*Closes the best opportunities based on market conditions and individual property needs.
*Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
*Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings via outside calls, solicitations and cold calls.
*Develop and maintain good relationships with officials and representatives of local community groups and companies.
*Must have complete understanding of prospecting, solicitations, and account penetration.
*Promptly responds to all customer related questions and concerns, including but not limited to complaints and special requests.
*Ensure seamless communication to all operations team members. Coordinate various departments' participation in servicing accounts.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria:

*At least 4 years with successful experience in proactive and/or reactive hotel sales and the ability to effectively close business
*Have working knowledge of Opera, Delphi, Micros and Microsoft Office.
*Bachelor's or Associates Degree preferably in Hospitality Management
*High School diploma or equivalent required;
*Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*Strong customer service and problem solving skills
*Flexible schedule.
*Pre-opening experience is preferable.

**This position is a salary based position plus a commission based incentive program**

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
