About Job
The Program Launch Manager will play an instrumental role in Foxconn’s EV journey. This is an opportunity to leverage your existing Automotive Program Management background to hit significant milestones all related to our EV manufacturing future. Be prepared to optimize current customer relationships, create new relationship with future customers, and pivot our milestones as the EV manufacturing business increases in volume.
Job Responsibilities
- Driving root cause solutions which are followed with verification of effectiveness of the corrective actions
- Supporting product development or operations team by providing analysis and expertise throughout the process
- Responsible for defining a detailed organizational structure of the program and launch departments
- Supporting and leading new line launch verification projects
- Providing technical support, direction, and training to support personnel within the organization
- Leading overall vehicle program from MR (Management Review) to SOP, through all milestones and gateways
- Working closely with sales and marketing, finance, purchasing, engineering and manufacturing, to execute different phases of the program
- Work closely with suppliers on launch readiness and escalate to senior management on supply chain issues if at risk.
- Supporting design reviews, strong knowledge in DV/PV homologation, manage human resources, strong cross departmental and functional communication
Education and Ideal Experience
- 7+ years of experience in the automotive industry with demonstrated evidence of excellence
- 7+ years of experience within project management working with cross-functional manufacturing programs
- 7+ years working with high volume OEM manufactures
- 5+ years of experience leading program milestones
Preferences and Qualifications
- Ability to lead overall vehicle program from MR (Management Review) to SOP, through all milestones and gateways.
- Previous launch experience in multiple OEM vehicle programs (major and minor cycle actions) from start to finish.
- Good interpersonal skills to work with multi-disciplines in engineering and manufacturing.
- Excellent skills in risk assessment and mitigation, cost analysis, budget management, APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning), MP&L (Manufacturing Planning and Logistics).
- Possess reasonable knowledge in vehicle subsystems, software, and hardware, flashing and communication
- Ability to quickly triage what is most critical to the immediate needs of the program
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities
- Ability to communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level
- Ability to work closely with product development group on any Stop Build/Stop Ship/Quality Hold issue.
- Ability to bring a new perspective/ business model to manufacturing
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- The factory has both office area and shop floor area. The noise level in the office area is generally quiet. Wearing of personal protective equipment’s (PPE) when visiting the shop floor is required.
