Key Qualifications
- Proven track record in design and prototyping of at least one of: wireless systems, networking products, GPU/video processing and AI/ML hardware
- Experience with prototyping or emulation using a multi-FPGA system
- Experience with multi-gigabit transceivers in FPGA’s and deploying different protocols
- Experience with power delivery and clock net definition for FPGA systems
- Experience with resource utilization analysis and power analysis
- Experience with high-speed interface protocols including MIPI, PCIe, Ethernet
- Experience with DDR3/LPDDR3, USB, Flash and other peripherals
- Experience with chip-to-chip protocols like Interlaken and Aurora is a plus
- Experience in architecting low-latency data links is a plus
Description
As a Next-gen Wireless Prototype Infrastructure Architect, you will be responsible for architecting the infrastructure components for next-gen modem prototype. You will be responsible for architecting state of the art wireless communication system prototypes and development platforms that include modem physical layer, packet processing, RF sub-systems and innovative AI/ML concepts applied towards wireless design. This position requires someone with prior experience in data movement, inter-FPGA communication, clocking and power delivery for FPGA platforms. You will be working with a seasoned team of systems, hardware and software experts to prototype innovative designs. In this role, you will: • Be responsible for architecting a multi-FPGA prototype with focus on data movement within and across FPGA’s. • Define inter-FPGA communication architecture including selection of protocols and IP’s. • Define clocking and Clock net (multi-FPGA) architecture including configuration of both external and internal PLL’s. • Contribute to power and thermal management architecture. • Drive perform resource utilization and power analyses.
Education & Experience
BS and 10+ years of relevant experience.

- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $161,000 and $278,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
