MAJOR FUNCTION
This position focuses on providing customer service and the preparation of food and servicing beach equipment. Work is reviewed through employee observation, facility inspection written and oral reports.

Multiple openings, working concessions, food service, cashier, line cook / prep cook, umbrella and chairs service, etc.

ILLUSTRATIVE DUTIES

• Operate a concession and beach equipment rental facility by preparing and providing patrons with food, supplies, refreshments, and various confectionery items in demand.
• Prepare food and equipment for daily operations.
• Clean and maintain concession facility and equipment; maintain safety and security of facility and equipment.
• Answer phone inquiries and give information to the public accurately and courteously.
• Provide prompt and quality customer service to beach patrons.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Make standard decisions in accordance with procedures and regulations and to apply these to work problems;
• Understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
18 years and older. Successful completion of a Food Service Handler certification within 30 days of employment. (certification offered on premise).

While performing the duties of this job, may need to carry chairs, move heavy umbrellas - which need to be cautiously positioned and transported. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud and crowded. Ability to maneuver in close spaces is required. Work is performed completely in a beach environment in both indoor and outdoor settings. Employee is routinely exposed to the sun, may be exposed to extreme heat or cold and windy conditions as well as works on uneven and/or slippery surfaces. Involves frequent interaction with people.
