Nurse Practitioner Training Specialist and Liaison

Specific duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Conducts both on-site and remote provider trainings and perform medical evaluations
  • Contributes to the development of IMA provider network; helping to improve provider satisfaction and provider retention.
  • Maintains relationships with IMA providers.
  • Monitors provider reports turnaround time, quality, and efficiency.
  • Assists in the development of best practices to help meet contractual requirements.
  • Communicates changes for disability evaluations as necessary.
  • Perform all types of medical evaluations on all ages of claimants for disability evaluations, independent medical evaluations and such other diagnostic evaluations as assigned.
  • Assist the Director of Medical Operations in tasks assigned.

  • maintaining and implementing standardized formats and templates for the performance of medical evaluations.
  • Encourage and perpetuate a culture of TEAMWORK, safety and respect for every employee.
  • Apply and adhere to Company Policies and SOPs, HIPAA and OSHA requirements and processes that allow for the delivery of quality services to internal and external customers.

  • Observe and uphold a standard of absolute confidentiality regarding the personal information of IMA’s clients, and all corporate data which may be disclosed as a necessary part of the employee's work function.
  • Develop and deliver educational curricula to medical providers and staff.
  • Train new hires and provide continuing education for existing providers and staff.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned (and work hours necessary for completion).
  • Work overtime as requested.

EDUCATION
Required: Appropriate degree, certification/license

EXPERIENCE
Required: Three years’ experience in a medical office setting or private practice.
Preferred: Two years’ experience in an occupational health office setting.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to:

  • Leadership, supervisory and management knowledge
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workloads and deadlines
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret, apply and teach various policies and procedures

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Be resourceful and creative
  • Be tactful, diplomatic, mature, and flexible
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Must be able to:
  • Receive detailed information through oral and written communication
  • Meet stringent deadlines
  • Access, input and retrieve information from computer
  • Understand and interpret written reports
  • Sit and/or stand 6-8 hours per day
  • Able to lift and/or carry 5-10 pounds occasionally
  • Substantially move wrists, hands, and fingers
